The 6th Annual Festival Celebration Honoring Quan Am, the Bodhisattva of Compassion
Houston, TX March 8th, 2007 – The Viet Nam Buddhist Center (VNBC) is planning the 6th Annual Festival Celebration honoring Quan Am - A Day of Pilgrimage and Prayers. The Festival Celebration will be observed over two days: Friday night, March 30th and Saturday, March 31st, 2007. The VNBC organizes the Festival Celebration each year in order to maintain the tradition of pilgrimage in the United States and to pray for world peace. At this annual event, the Center hosts thousands of monks, nuns, and Buddhists from all over the world.
The VNBC is seeking sponsors and supporters for this important event.
Please come by our Center to contemplate the 72-feet tall Quan Am statue, build in 2001, as a symbol of our Loving Mother.
The program of the Quan Am Festival Celebration is as follows:
Friday night, March 30th at 7 PM
● Night festival with lighted lotus flower floats and prayers
● One Prostration At Every Three Step Pilgrimage
Saturday morning, March 31st at 7 AM
● Ceremony Assembly “Thousand Eyes and Thousand Hands”
Saturday night, March 31st at 6 PM
● The Official Ceremony of Quan Am Bodhisattva
